Kathleen & Jeremy’s Intimate Spring Wedding
Kathleen & Jeremy's late spring wedding was elegant and cozy. The couple traveled all the way from New Orleans to celebrate their marriage in Chicago's historic Emil Bach House. The very definition of elegant and cozy!
Inspired by the classic prairie style of Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture, Kathleen's bouquet was a textural beauty. The shape and style were structured but organic giving it a playful sense of movement. Perfect for invoking the spirit of spring and new beginnings. The brightness of the yellow butterfly ranunculus and spirea was balanced by the softness of the peach ranunculus and the lush, creaminess of the toffee roses and white majolica spray roses.
But it was the wild foxglove and the peach achillea that gave the bouquet its memorable shape! Jeremy's boutonniere also had a peach ranunculus and sprig of achillea, but he got his own pop of whimsy with a shapley blue thistle.
The ceremony was held outside on the Emil Bach House's lush lawn under a newly blooming tree. The couple chose to let the beauty of the house be their ceremony backdrop (we don't blame them!), but the lawn got a little wedding makeover courtesy of our rose petals and two adorable flower girls.
The dinner tables were lined with lush greenery, but the real reception show stopper was the donut wall. To highlight the delicious donuts courtesy of Firecakes we lined the donut wall with an Italian ruscus garland complete with a bold corner arrangement meant to invoke the bridal bouquet.
A beautiful spring day, a show-stopper bouquet, and a to die for donut wall all in one of Chicago's most iconic historic houses. What more could you ask for? Congratulations to Kathleen & Jeremy!
